What is Pools Markets
Pools Markets is a Chrome extension. When you open a token page on a supported launchpad, it shows a prediction market about that token on the page itself: a question, two outcomes, an entry deadline, and the current pool. You enter with the extension’s own self-custody wallet, and the position settles on the chain the token lives on.
The questions are about things that happen to launchpad tokens: will this bonding-curve token graduate in the next 30 minutes, will this token’s price rise a stated percentage from where entries close, will this auction launch successfully. The exact question and its frozen rules are shown before you enter.
Where markets appear
- On the page. A small Pools Markets control appears on token cards and detail pages of supported sites. Clicking it opens the market panel over the page.
- Explore. The extension’s Explore tab lists tokens that currently have a question, grouped by launchpad. Explore lives in the extension, not on pools.markets.
- Positions and Settled. Open positions, results, payouts and refunds are shown in the extension and in its side panel.
Which sites and chains this works on today is listed in What is live. That list is the only source of truth for availability.
What it is not
- Not a fixed-odds sportsbook. There are no odds and no house side.
- Not an order book. You do not buy or sell outcome shares from other traders, and a position cannot be exited before the market resolves or voids.
- Not a custodian. Keys are generated and held on your device. Stakes go straight into an on-chain pool. See Wallet and self-custody.
- Not a points, token or airdrop programme. Earn pays a share of protocol fees that were actually collected, and nothing else.
- Not a promise that a displayed percentage is a probability. It is the share of the pool on that outcome right now.
Three states, kept apart
This documentation labels everything as Live, Target or Architecture. A launchpad or chain counts as supported only when a user can open an eligible token page today, see a market, enter it, and have it resolve or void under published rules. An adapter existing in the code is not support. See What is live for the definitions applied to every surface.
