Install the extension
Pools Markets is distributed only through the Chrome Web Store. Do not install it from anywhere else.
- Chrome Web Store: Pools Markets
- Requires desktop Chrome or another Chromium browser that supports Manifest V3 extensions and the side panel.
Updates
Chrome updates extensions automatically; you can also open Settings, choose Check for updates, then Update now. Updating can lock the wallet, so have your vault password ready.
First run
- Pin the extension and open it.
- Continue with email. A six-digit code or a magic link verifies the address. The email is the account login: it carries positions, settings and your Earn code across devices. It does not hold any key.
- Optionally enter an 8-character invite code. It binds once, at this step, and cannot be changed later. See Earn.
- Create a wallet: choose a vault password of at least 8 characters, then write down the 12-word recovery phrase. The phrase is shown once. Or import an existing 12, 18 or 24-word phrase.
- Fund the wallet with the native asset of the chain you want to predict on. Use Receive to copy your address for that network.
Details of what the wallet does and does not hold are in Wallet and self-custody.
Refresh the sites you already have open
Content scripts attach when a page loads. After installing or updating, reload any launchpad tabs that were already open.
How to confirm it is working
Open a token page on a supported site. Within a moment you should see a Pools Markets control: on token cards it sits under the market-cap row; on a token detail page it sits near the token header. Clicking it opens the panel over the page.
The panel shows one of these states:
| Panel state | Meaning |
|---|---|
| Question with two outcomes, a CLOSES countdown and MIN / MAX amounts | A market is open for entry. |
| Preparing limits | A market exists but its entry limits are not final yet. Wait a few seconds. |
| Coming soon | The token is recognised but no question is available for it in its current state. |
| Round observing | Entries are closed and the result is being measured. |
| Prediction closed | This round has ended. A new one may open after settlement. |
These are the page types that carry a control:
| Site | Page types | Chain |
|---|---|---|
| pools.xyz (formerly pools.trade) | Token pages and the board | Robinhood Chain |
| ponsfamily.com | Token pages and the board | Robinhood Chain |
| four.meme | Token pages and the board, including supported OpenFour tokens | BNB Chain |
| pump.fun | Coin pages and the board | Solana |
| app.uniswap.org | Robinhood Chain token pages only | Robinhood Chain |
| flap.sh | Token pages and the board. Rolling out. | Robinhood Chain, BNB Chain |
When nothing appears
Check in this order:
- Settings → Supported sites. The master switch and the per-site switch for this site must be on.
- Reload the page.
- Confirm the page is one of the page types above. A token on a chain Pools Markets does not settle on has no control.
- Confirm the extension is up to date. flap.sh support is rolling out and needs the latest version.
- Check What is live. A site can be paused, or a launchpad can be in rollout, and that page says so.
If all five pass and there is still nothing, write to support@pools.markets with the page URL and the extension version.
What the extension asks for
Exactly three permissions: storage (accounts, encrypted vault, preferences, all on the device), unlimitedStorage (the launchpad catalog and market cache exceed the default quota), and sidePanel (the positions panel). Host access is limited to the supported sites listed above, the Pools Markets API, and pools.markets for capturing an invite code from a referral link.
It does not request tabs, scripting, web requests, clipboard reading, browsing history, native messaging or all-sites access, and it loads no remote code.
